Twitter Plymouth Google +1 Comments

Google +1 Twitter and Comments Plymouth

  • Oh, Google. Another flipping social network? Invitation only? No thanks. Three-time losers don’t get another try.
  • google’s new social network, gottasay, looks more useful than facebook.
  • I haven’t even got an invite for your LAST social network yet, Google.
  • Facebook, please copy Google+ drag and drop social circles. I hate your friend lists and groups.
  • Look out Facebook…Google is revolutionizing the whole idea of sharing.
  • Do we really need *another* social network base? Even if it’s better, not enuf incentive
  • Even lamer than Google+ is the fawning, approval-seeking tone that many use in describing it. That’s the cost of early access? No thanks.
  • Wrapping head around Google’s Facebook-y Google+. Looks like a lot of cool ideas in here

Google + Bar

Did you wake up today just wondering what the black bar was for on your Google Home Page or Browser?

The Google+ bar, which appears at the top of Google products, is your connection to Google+. You can share what’s on your mind, view your Google+ notifications, access your profile, or jump to a variety of other Google products. For instance, to get to Google+, all you have to do is click +[your first name].

When you’re signed in and look at the Google+ bar, you’ll see your full name or email address displayed with a photo or avatar next to it. This helps you identify which account you’re currently signed in to. You can sign in to multiple accounts at once and switch between them using the Google+ bar.

When you receive a notification, the notification area in the Google+ bar will turn red and show the number of new notifications. If you click the notification area in the Google+ bar, you’ll see a summary of your recent notifications. When you click a notification, a preview of the event that generated the notification will appear in the drop-down menu. You can take action on each notification right from the notifications menu, like commenting on a post or adding someone to a circle.

Google One Pass

Google One Pass

Google has launched a new payment system that allows users to subscribe to online content for a 10% commission fee.

Google Tips Devon

The move comes after rival Apple was criticised over its payment system which takes 30% of the sale price.

One Pass will work on tablets and smartphones, as well as Google-related websites.

One Pass will launch initially in the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

The announcement came just one day after Apple announced new rules for publishers selling subscriptions on its iOS platform.

Apple says companies must now offer users the option to buy directly through an iTunes account, handing 30% of the price to Apple.

Previously, vendors were allowed to simply direct customers to an external website, keeping all of the profits.

On a Google blog posting, Lee Shirani, the company’s director of business product management wrote: “Publishers can customise how and when they charge for content while experimenting with different models to see what works best for them.”
